HP announces 4 new Android tablets for the Holiday season

HP just announced a slew of new stuff for the holiday season, and among them were four new Android tablets.  The HP Slate7 Extreme (pictured above) includes a 7-inch (1280 x 800) display, a quad-core Tegra 4, 1GB of RAM, 5MP rear camera, and front-facing stereo speakers. It also includes a stylus pen for creating notes and drawing. This clearly is a product from NVIDIA’s Tegra Note tablet platform, but HP wasn’t mentioned in their press release yesterday. We can only assume it will cost $199.

Next up is the HP Slate8 Pro. It features a 7.98-inch (1600 x 1200) display, but it has a ratio of 4:3. It also packs a quad-core Tegra 4, but the camera is upgraded to 8MP for the rear and 2MP at the front. You will also get Kingsoft Office, HP File Manager, HP ePrint, and HP Connected Photo for producing and managing content.

Lastly, we have the HP Slate7 HD and Slate10 HD. HD refers to 720p since the resolution is 1280 x 800 for both the 7-incher and 10-incher. Both devices feature a dual-core Marvell CPU, Beats Audio, and optional 4G connectivity. Certain models will actually include 200 MB of 4G data per month through T-Mobile with no contract. That is very interesting.

Firm pricing wasn’t offered nor were any release dates, but you can expect to see all four tablets in November. Full presser below.

It is even more difficult when spanning different operating systems.
