Online Indian retailer pegs release date for the Motorola Moto E

Being that we know everything about the upcoming Moto E, we just need it to be put up for sale. And thanks to Flipkart, an online retailer in India, it looks like the little handset could put made available the same day it is announced. Flipkart has been posting teasers as we await the announcement. But they may have done something to give it all away.

In addition to posting these teasers, Flipkart has generated a countdown. A few hours ago, the countdown for the Moto E was set for an ending on May 14. But after checking a few minutes ago, it is down to three days and that means the end will be on May 13. That date is when Motorola is hosting its event in London. So it seems like the Moto E will be available on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

‘Moto G Cinema’ name appears on Motorola’s site

Yet another leak for @evleaks shows that not only did the Moto X+1 appear on the Motorola site, but now it seems Motorola have yet another product in the works, and it seems to be an evolution of the Moto G.

Dubbed the Moto G Cinema, the reference appeared on Motorola’s support site, appearing as a placeholder for upcoming information. Unfortunately no offer information was specified, other than it seems a product of that sort exists.

Whilst details are limited, it can be assumed the ‘Cinema’ naming for the Moto G does suggest a device with a larger screen aimed at viewing videos, but that’s pure speculation at this point.

Motorola again teasing the wooden backs for Moto X

Motorola has taken to its social media platforms to tease the upcoming availability of the wooden back plates for its Moto X. Set to debut at some point in the future, these wooden covers are expected to come in four flavors.

Put this DIY project on hold. Trust us.

Motorola is not quite ready to let the world know the exact launch of these plates but might hope for sooner rather than later. While they’ve officially acknowledged that they are coming, Motorola has yet to provide concrete details. Rumor has it these will be a $50 premium over the normal backs for the Moto X.

Motorola teases upcoming Android 4.4 announcement

Android 4.4 just made its debut with the Nexus 5 – and right now it is the best Android can get. We just heard that Google will update the Nexus 4, 7, 10 and Google Play Edition of HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 in coming weeks. Also HTC said that Android 4.4 is coming to One within 3 months, but it seems Motorola also got something up their sleeves. Motorola just shared this picture below on Google+ and said “We hope you’re as excited about this Halloween treat as we are! More to share soon…”

KitKatAndroid_10.31Our Android guts says that this is Motorola’s way of saying ‘coming soon’, and we all know that Motorola Mobility is now under Google, so Droid devices and especially Moto X might be one of the first devices to receive Android 4.4 update. Although, nothing is written on stone, but apparently this is what Motorola is pointing at.

So Motorola fanboys, are you excited about Android 4.4? Tell us in the comment box below.
