Verizon said to be getting the HTC Desire 610

htc_desire_610_navy

Life should not be all about flagship smartphones with cutting edge specifications. So it is always nice to see when a carrier opts to sell mid-range devices. They need some love too, after all. It looks like HTC and Verizon will be teaming up to bring the Desire 610 to Big Red customers.

On Twitter, @evleaks said that the handset would be heading to Verizon. And back in March, we heard that it would also be available through AT&T as well. Perhaps this is a sign other carriers like Sprint or T-Mobile will carry the Desire 610.

Sprint’s HTC One Max receiving Sense 6 software update

sprint_htc_one_max_sense_6_update_screenshot

Sprint customers, fire up your HTC One Max! The Sprint variant of HTC’s phablet is starting to receive a software update that brings all of the goodies from Sense 6, the skin that shipped with the HTC One (M8). The update is just over 537MB, so make sure you have enough storage.

On Twitter, @LlabTooFer notes that the update gives the One Max everything that the One (M8) has with the exception of Motion Launch. For those of you unaware, Motion Launch allows you to wake and launch certain applications without hitting the power button by simply tapping the display.

Have you gotten the update? If so, let us know in the comments how it feels.

Photos surface of gold LG G3

LGG3Gold

As the leaks keep pouring in about LG’s new flagship device, the G3, a much clearer picture of the device has surfaced and it’s in Gold!  Nothing has officially been released about the device, especially the materials the phone is made of.  From the picture above, it sure looks metallicish, but we won’t know anything until the unveiling on May 27th.

Could this be LG taking notes from HTC on how to build a premium device that not only performs but just looks awesome? Hopefully LG does!  I know some people out their prefer your phones to be polycarbonate and have the backs fly off of them when you do drop it.  However, I am a fan of the metal, hence my HTC One M8, but we will find out soon enough.  In the mean time check out the rumored specs of the new LG G3.
