Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 poses for the camera

Galaxy Tab S 10.5_cover

Samsung shows no signs of stopping when it comes to pushing everything they come up with to the market, this is not exception.

We’ve recently posted some details regarding Samsung’s new tablet and this time around we bring you some pictures of said device. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.5 posed for some pictures and it looks really similar to Galaxy TabPRO/NotePRO 10.1 tablets they launched earlier this year, Samsung decided to go back to OLED displays, at least in this case. In comparison to Galaxy TabPRO and NotePRO’s LCD panel this device is going to feature an AMOLED panel, 2560×1600 in resolution.

Judging by the pictures, Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is going to have a textured back, similar to the one on Samsung Galaxy S5. Front side of the device also follows the same pattern as previous devices along with the hardware button which looks the same as the one on previous tablet devices. In other specifications the tablet will come with an octa-core Exynos 5420 CPU with four 1.9GHz Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores, usual array of sensors, IR blaster, Samsung’s Magazine UX and Android 4.4 KItKat. You can find more details in a linked posted above.

Samsung’s Galaxy S 5 with a 2560×1440 display and Snapdragon 805 could be released only in Korea

It looks like the Galaxy S 5 with a eye popping 2560×1440 display will be exclusive to Korean carriers. Three versions of the Samsung device with the model number SM-G906 appeared and belong to SK Telecom (SM-G906S), KT (SM-G906K), and LG Uplus (SM-G906L). In addition to a gorgeous display, it will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 processor because it allows for displays with such resolutions to be managed. The interesting thing is that this LTE-A handset listed Android 4.4.3 as its operating system, a version not yet released or even announced.

Are you hoping this comes to your market?

Here’s the first good look at the upcoming AMOLED Samsung Galaxy Tab S

We already gave you the juicy details of the upcoming Galaxy Tab S, which will be Samsung’s first AMOLED tablet since the Galaxy Tab 7.7 from a few years ago. Now it’s time to get a good look at the device. These images are from the 10.5-inch version, and unfortunately there really isn’t anything major here. Samsung’s devices always look the same and the Tab S is no exception. However, you will notice an updated back that resembles the Galaxy S 5 band-aid look, I mean dimpled look. This is the first time we are seeing it on a tablet. You will also see that “wonderful” Magazine UX that is on the Galaxy TabPRO series and Galaxy NotePRO.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Tab S will be a beast. It will sport a 2560 x 1600 AMOLED display, and octa-core Exynos 5420 CPU which consists of four 1.9 GHz Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 cores, 8MP rear camera, 2.1MP front-facing camera, IR blaster, and Android 4.4. One more pic revealing the back of the device after the break.

Samsung SM-G870A slides through the FCC, possibly AT&T’s Galaxy S 5 Active

We are getting closer and closer to the reveal of a new Samsung handset. On Thursday, a Samsung device with the model number SM-G870A was approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Galaxy S 5 Mini leaks with a not-so-mini 4.8 inch screen

A GFX benchmark for a Samsung SM-G800H has surfaced, confirming what will probably end up being the Galaxy S 5 Mini. However, instead of the 4.5-inch screen we were originally anticipating, this benchmark shows a device with a 4.8-inch display. Now, that is technically “mini” compared to the Galaxy S 5, but 4.8 inches isn’t small by any stretch. It’s much bigger than the 4.3-inch screen on the S 4 Mini and the same size as Samsung’s older Galaxy S III. Bigger phones clearly have their place in the market, but Samsung is completely missing the point of offering a mini device.

Aside from the larger screen, the other specs are in line with what we’ve been hearing. The display has a 720p resolution, and the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 400 CPU, 1.5 GB of RAM, and Android 4.4. There’s an 8 megapixel camera and 16 GB of storage on board, and you can bet Samsung will include a microSD card.

What are your thoughts on the size of this device? Do you still consider a 4.8-inch screen mini?
