Has Google decided to stick with Samsung for the fourth generation of the Nexus line of Android smartphones? If you believe a new report out of DigiTimes then the answer is a certain yes. Advising that Google has already chosen Samsung, the news outlet quotes a source close to the matter.
Since Samsung has become the top vendor of Android smartphones, Google will continue to have Samsung develop its next-generation Nexus models, leveraging Samsung’s innovation ability with regard to the Android platform, and its ability to control the supply of key components, said sources.
If history is any indication then we might look for the Nexus 4 to closely resemble the Galaxy S III but come with Android 5/Jelly Bean. The Nexus S was similar to the first generation of Galaxy S while the Galaxy Nexus was not all that different from the Galaxy S II. Keep a close eye on the May 3 Unpacked event as it could foretell the next Pure Google experience.
