Truth: There is no shortage of Android music apps in the Market. The most consistently popular app however, happens to be PowerAmp, and developer Max MP has brought a new update to the table which adds some new functionality. We had written about the app going to 2.0 near the beginning of this year, and 2.0.5 builds on this, adding increased support for Android 4.0 (ICS) and more languages (Chinese, Polish, Korean, and Japanese). There’s also the usual bug fixes includes as well.

MaxMP Announce New Poweramp UpdateThis new update is quite significant
Minnesota — February 12, 2012 —Today we have pushed out a new update to our popular Power Android music player (Poweramp) that we think it’s worthwhile nothing. This update brings some new ICS features that users have requested, and more. Now you can control your music from your notification bar on any Android 3.0+ device. For ICS, you can now change the settings for the lockscreen to make controlling your music possible, saving you time and finger pain. Along with those exciting changes, now you can enjoy Beats sound effect along with SRS right from Poweramp, making it the most complete music solution. The last new feature that was added is that, from now on, your music will be reshuffled when you have it on repeat; this way you don’t have to get instantly bored of your tunes. Fixes were also included in this update, along with new languages like Chinese (beta), Polish, Korean, and Japanese. The update is now live in the Market and we recommend everyone give this a try.“We’re working hard on the list of features our users have requested, seen here: http://www.twitlonger.com/show/f5puai, and we’re glad to be able to cross some of those out and even add a few of our own. Keep looking out for our updates, as I’m sure this and the next will make your music lives so much better on your Android phone.”For more information, press only:
